Local Number Portability Business Rules
Hours of Operation M-F 8-5PM PST
Excluding Holidays and Holidays Observed:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
CSR/LSR Submission Process
All CSR requests will be submitted via our online portal located on the main support page. Requests via email will be accepted for the time being at riocsr@rionetworks.com.
All LSR requests at this time will need to be submitted via email only at riolsr@rionetworks.com. All submissions via fax will not be responded anymore.
Simple Port Request
Rio Networks will return all LSR responses within 4 business hours from when it is received.
Requests received after 12PM PST will be considered next business day.
Minimum Required Porting Intervals as follows:
- LSRs New and Supplemental – 1 business day from receipt of clean and acceptable LSR request.
All LSRs for simple port must meet guidelines for simple port per current regulation.
Must port away services within 5 business days or subscription will be pulled and NLSP will need to resubmit new LSR using standard porting interval.
All Other Non-Simple Port Requests
Rio Networks will return all LSR requests within 24 business hours from when it is received.
Requests received after 12PM PST will be considered next business day.

All LSRs must meet minimum requirements to be accepted
- TNs on LSR must match TNs on End User Account
- End User/Customer Name must match End User Account name
- Service Address must match service address on End User Account
- Must provide number of TNs to Port

Additional Business Rules
- For any resold service request in which a service is through another LEC but controlled by Rio Networks, please submit CSR requests to Rio Networks. This is to reduce any latency or difficulty with port.
- End user must contact Rio networks to cancel any remaining services.
- Rio Networks will not port out any inactive TN(s).
- LOA’s do not need to accompany CSR or LSR requests, however NLSP should have LOA on file and available upon request.
