The Umpqua Business and Data Center is a 24,000 square foot building currently being renovated in Roseburg, Oregon. This project was inspired by the need for economic development and growth in Douglas County. A $2.75 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce EDA applied for by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians partially funded the project and was awarded on November 21st of 2009.
The upper level will facilitate a business accelerator that will provide mentoring and training programs will benefit our local resources, foster the dreams of entrepreneurs, ensure the success of startup companies, create local jobs and stimulate the growth of Douglas County.
The lower level will result in a 12,500 square foot leading edge high density collocation facility. Its inherent benefits will make this one of the first of its kind nationally. It will attract companies who can serve customers & markets worldwide.
