Past

1994 – RIO provided computer based bulletin board services. 1995 – RIO added basic modem dial-up Internet access and other enhanced Internet services. RIO became a stand alone company and positioned its self as a “quality” Internet access provider.

1998 – RIO secured status as a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC). Telephone lines and long distance services completed our portfolio, providing a range of communication and data services to commercial and residential accounts in metropolitan and rural areas of Oregon.

Rio Networks is an Oregon based, locally owned and operated CLEC specializing in Business Voice and Data services since 1994. Our facilities based footprint has grown to serve most of the major Oregon markets including Portland, Salem Eugene, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, and Bend.

Starting with a change of Management in 2007, the Rio team quickly defined our core values and business customer focus then set off to accomplish our challenging goal. In 2008 we refined our processes and procedures while updating our network and perfecting our current product lines. In 2009 we focused on getting lean by leveraging every asset to its highest potential, weeding out the unnecessary and planning for what would be the most meaningful Business focused voice and data services in Oregon. In 2010 Rio Networks purchased, upgraded and installed an entire new network resulting in one of the most reliable, up to date, state of the art Business Voice and Data networks in Oregon.  2011 is a monumental year; our current customers and new customers added daily are reaping the benefits of Oregon’s newest network! Enhanced business voice and data solutions, faster internet speeds, tier 1 internet service providers, increased reliability and the highest level of redundancy have been added to the foundation of our local presence that delivers one of the highest customer satisfaction surveys in the Northwest, we continue to go the extra mile.

Our current product set delivered on the newest state of the art network and equipment includes; Broadband and bonded Broadband, Ethernet over Copper (EOC), T1 services including Point to Point, Digital Dynamic, Data, Flex , Voice PRI and Digital, POTS Trunks, SIP trunks and VoIP end points, WiMax, WiFi Hotspots, two way electronic fax, a robust hosted business telephone system, IPBX telephone systems, HD tele-video conference bridge and equipment and more.

We have accomplished our goal but continue to evolve. Rio Networks is currently constructing a 5000 sf. carrier neutral Data Center colocation facility in Roseburg Oregon.
